The WP6420 circuit use N channel lateral MoSas POWER FET embedded protection functionswhich consist of thermal-shutdown circuit，currentlimitation circuit,Overload protection circuit andshort circuit protection. When the circuit is shortcircuited，current limitation circuit is firstly triggeredand a high current flow through POWER FET whichled to high temperature of POWER FET.And thenthe thermal-shutdown circuit is triggered to shutdown the circuit. So the current limitation circuit andthermal-shutdown circuit act as the short circuitprotection role.
